Question #10: If there was one person you could meet, either from the past or present, who would it be and why?
The interviewer asks this question to know more about your personality because we like someone only when we like something in the other person and that depends on our personality. Negative people are inspired by negatives and positive ones are inspired by positive people. Here you can cite an example of any particular person who influences you the most and why? What qualities or characteristics you like in this person and how he / she is different from the rest of the masses. You are influenced by people who has got qualities similar to you. You are never influenced by someone whom you don’t like. If you are someone who is influenced by negative people then work on it and get influenced by positive go-getters. The interviewer is looking for someone who will help the company in reaching its goals. If you fit in it, you are selected or else rejected. Every answer you give matters during the process of interview since the answer you give defines you and your personality.
For Example, I am inspired by Kiran Majumdar Shaw. I like in her the quality of persistence and her hard work and dedication in the building of Biocon. Her belief in her dreams when others did not cooperate. Her vision and fight against all odds to achieve her dreams and make it a reality. I want to meet her, learn more about her problem-solving abilities. Here I am giving very specific reasons as to why I am influenced by her and why I want to meet her.
Do not beat in the bush or try to fool the interviewer and yes one more thing have high goals but achievable ones. When you say you are influenced by someone explain why. And what you get to learn from him / her.
